FAQ:
"What if I miss the lesson or log-in late?" |
| Once you agree a time with your designated teacher you expect that teacher to be present at that time. If the teacher were not available at the time arranged you would not be pleased.
Similarly if you do not log on for your lesson in time you cannot expect the teacher to continue the lesson beyond the scheduled time of completion due to your having been late. Other students may have booked the next hour of the teacher's schedule or the teacher may have other pressing private or family engagements.
Summary:
If the teacher cannot take the lesson at the agreed time you should be notified in advance and an alternative date and time arranged.
If you cannot take the lesson at the agreed time you should give at least a day's notice and ask to have the lesson re-scheduled.
If you do not give advance notice and miss the lesson or if you log-in late without good reason you may have to forego the fee paid. |

| Safety and security: |
| |
| Parents are advised to sit in on and supervise lessons taken by younger students. Indeed if they wish to participate in the lesson -- taking part in an assisted conversation with the student for example -- they are more than welcome to do so. |
| |
| Webcam: |
| |
| While a short webcam session can be helpful in the initial stage of tuition it is not necessary to have a camera on all the time. It may use up bandwidth and cause one or other of the systems to stall. It may also distract from the work in progress. |
