Ceist:
Nach bhféadfadh gnáthmhúinteoirí a gceachtanna agus a gcleachtaí féin a ullmhú don Idirlíon leis an gclár sin MOODLE? Ar ndóigh ní fál go haer é an obair sin?
Couldn't ordinary teachers prepare their own lessons and exercises for use on the web? Surely it is not rocket science.
Freagra:
D'fhéadfadh dá mbeadh an tsainscil acu leathanaigh Idirlín a dhearadh. De bhreis ar sin theastódh os cionn 1,300 uair a chloig chun an obair atá déanta againne a dhéanamh go slachtmhar. I gcás na Gaeilge níor mhór go mbeadh an-chruinneas ag an té a chuirfeadh an t-ábhar seo ar fáil. Bíonn daltaí ag súil le hábhar teagaisc a fheiceáil ar an Idirlíon. Beidh neart le fáil in ábhair eile ar nós an Bhéarla, na Tíreolaíochta, agus na hEolaíochta per se. Sa Ghaeilge tá láithreáin go leor ag freastal ar bhunleibhéal na foghlama. Tá an t-ábhar s'againne á dhíriú ar lucht meánleibhéil agus lucht ardleibhéil. Rud eile fós cé nach obair ró-dheacair í téacsleabhar a scríobh ní iarrtar ar mhúinteoirí a gcuid téacsleabhar féin a scríobh agus a chur i gcló.
No. It is not rocket science. The "ordinary teacher" could indeed do this work but it would require particular skills in website design. It would also take a considerable amount of time. More than 1,300 hours were spent preparing the material we have produced. The production of material such as ours requires a very high level of accuracy in the language. Children expect to find educational material on the Internet. There is already an abundance of materials in such subjects as English, Geography, and Science. In Irish there are many websites catering for beginners. Our material is intended for those at intermediate and higher levels. In addition while the writing of a textbook is not particularly difficult teachers are not expected to prepare and print their own textbooks.
